Drool on Acura nsx gt3s exposed carbon fiber bodywork
Our first look gave us the Acura in GT3 NSX race car during the New York Auto Show this year, and now the automaker revealed more photos and details before the competition for the first time racer GT3 class for next year.
We get to see the car without race livery in all its glory exposed carbon fibre. Fixed big rear wing and front splitter and rear diffuser, and false car show prominent still exist, as well as deep hood vents for improved cooling system. GT3-spec car uses the same 75 degree, 3.5 litre Twin Turbo capacity V-6 as production NSX, but compensatory fancy hybrid technology in compliance with the rules of the class. The engine itself is a good horse race tune depressed. The energy is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 6-speed sequential racing gearbox.
"Based on a very solid foundation for production NSX, we made steady progress in our development and look forward to campaigning GT3 race car next year," said art St Cyr, President of Honda performance development, said in a statement.
GT3 NSX will be produced in the manufacturing centre performance in Ohio, along with ongoing road NSX. The initial development of the Japanese race car racing by Honda engineering arm at various tracks in Japan and Europe. The car is being further developed in the United States by Honda performance development (Directorate), North American Honda wing racing engineering. The Directorate will oversee the final tests and standardization of FIA GT3. Honda NSX GT3 says it expects to be approved this fall.
So far only Honda has announced plans to campaign NSX in North America next year, but is being built to GT3 specification means the car will be eligible to compete in many racing series around the world.
